My Life: My Travels
I’m bringing you a short photo-report of the beautiful places I visited during my trip through Norwegian fjords this summer. Lyngdalsfjord, Lysefjord, Hardangerfjord, Geirangerfjord, Romsdalsfjord, Narvikfjord, Trollfjord – these pretty boys along with some of the many villages and cities (Stavanger, Bergen, Narvik, Tromso, Honningsvag) stole my heart for a while. What a great time I had. And of course I couldn’t miss the most northern point of Europe – Nordkapp.
I discovered one remarkable thing – the more northerly / northwards you move on this planet the more mystical and enchanting the landscape is. Something I’ve been feeling during all my trips above the polar circle.
The nature reveals its palette of colours in such a minimalistic way and offers you an intriguing beauty of light that you have to admit you’ve never seen anything like that before.
Norway, in contrast to Greenland shores and the see, which is dark grey, almost black and navy blue, sometimes turquoise, with snow of many shades of white, adds a touch of sparkling green and sunny light brown to the colour palette.
Nevertheless, Alaska, which I visited last year, still occupies the first place in my heart.
Yours, Sylva
